Do bloggers knit or do knitters blog?
So now I've joined the phenomena of blogs about knitting. Have you ever noticed how many knitting blogs are out there? However, this will not be a blog entirely about knitting. That just happens to be the most recent project I've completed, and I wanted to share it. A friend's book club reading selection for April, The Friday Night Knitting Club, inspired me to drag out my knitting stuff and dabble around again. I clearly don't have time to tackle an afghan or sweater, but I discovered some cute patterns for cotton dishcloths. Dishcloths are perfect little projects I can work on in the evenings and while sitting with the boys doing their homeschooling.
This is the first one I've made and I wish you could see in the photo how it's textured. It's really thick and sort of waffled. I'm using it as a toaster cozy for now replacing the dishtowel I've had there for years.
I really liked this pattern once I figured it out and memorized the 4 repeating different rows so I didn't have to lug the pattern book around with me. I will definitely make more of this pattern. I started a different pattern from the same book and am not liking it as much. Maybe it will grow on me by the time it's finished.

What a great idea for where to use it. I can't wait to see it. Maybe you'll have to show me how to knit some time. I've never...ever done it.
